VIXX is pulling out all the stops coming back with their first full length album ‘Voodoo Doll’. Not ones to play it safe these boys are back with a dark concept based around the ever so creepy voodoo dolls. The title song, ‘Voodoo Doll’, is an electro-pop banger with and addictive rhythm and stomping beat. Having already released ‘Only U’, a mid-tempo R&B track, ‘Voodoo’ is a good change of pace and also a great way of showing the diversity of the album.
The MV showcases the boys’ choreography interspersed with a flurry of individual shots. The choreography is dynamic and athletic, it’ll be a treat to see these boys perform it live. The individual shots show the boys smouldering at the camera, the look is very dark and sexy, enough to send any fan girl into a coma. Set in a rundown mansion with oversized voodoo pin props really brings the concept to life.
The ‘Rated R’ MV is focused on creating the mood for this song and is certainly not for the faint of heart. They spared no expense in making it as creepy as possible, the voodoo eyed contract lenses are definitely a highlight. It shows the group members trapped in separate rooms. Being pierced, stapled and tortured by a mysterious female. The song was fully revealed on the final stop of their ‘Milky Way Showcase’ tour in Seoul on November 17th. The album will be released on the 25th November.
